Matematik Anabilim Dalında, Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora programları yürütülmektedir. Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora programları için Üniversitenin ve bölümün ihtiyacına göre ilan verilir ve öğrenciler Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsünce belirlenen koşulları sağladıkları takdirde bu programlara öğrenci olarak kabul edilirler.
Yüksek Lisans: Öğrenci, kabul edildiği Anabilim Dalına bağlı olarak ders kredisini doldurmak ve yürüttüğü araştırmanın sonucu olarak tez sunmakla yükümlüdür. Yüksek Lisans programında eğitim süresi asgari 4, azami 6 yarıyıldır.
Doktora: Doktora programı yüksek lisans derecesi olan öğrenciler için 24 krediden az olmamak koşuluyla en az sekiz adet ders, iki seminer dersi, yeterlik sınavı, tez önerisi, uzmanlık alan dersi ve tez çalışmasından; lisans derecesiyle kabul edilen öğrenciler için de 42 krediden az olmamak koşuluyla en az on dört ders, yeterlik sınavı, tez önerisi, uzmanlık alan dersi ve tez çalışmasından oluşur. Seminer dersleri, uzmanlık alan dersi ve tez çalışması kredisizdir, başarılı veya başarısız olarak değerlendirilir.
Doktora programını tamamlama süresi, lisans derecesi ile kabul edilenler için asgari on yarıyıl, yüksek lisans derecesi ile kabul edilenler için asgari sekiz yarıyıl olmak üzere azami on iki yarıyıldır.
Anabilimdalındaki öğretim elemanları Modül Teorisi, Grup ve Halka Teorisi, Toplanabilirlik Teorisi, Geometri, Genel Topoloji, Lotka-Volterra Sistemleri, Diferansiyel ve Integral Denklemler, Konuşma Tanıma ve Sentezleme, Doğal Dil İşleme alanlarında bilimsel çalışmalar yapmış veya yapmaktadırlar.

Matematik bölümünde 1996-1997 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında bir doçent ve iki yardımcı doçent ile Yüksek Lisans programına başlanılmıştır. İlk yıl ilgili öğretim üyeleri tarafından açılan 10 ders (30 kredi) lisans üstü öğretime devam eden öğrencilere sunulmuştur.
Orta öğretimden gelen yoğun istek üzerine yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda 2000-2001 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında tezsiz yüksek lisans programı açılmıştır.
2009-2010 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında doktora programı açılmıştır.
Anabilim Dalımız 2011-2012 Eğitim-Öğretim yılına iki profesör, iki doçent ve on bir yardımcı doçent öğretim üyesiyle başlamıştır.
İlk yıl on olan yüksek lisans ders sayısı elli beşe, ders kredi toplamı da yüz altmış beş (534 AKTS) ulaşmıştır.

Adnan Menderes Üniversitesinde yüksek lisans ve doktora öğretimine olan katkımızı artırmak, Teorik ve Uygulamalı Matematik alanlarında bilim dünyasında saygınlığı olan dinamik ve üretken bir kadro oluşturmak, lisansüstü programımıza daha nitelikli öğrenci kazanmak için girişimlerde bulunmak, lisansüstü programını günün şartlarına uygun hale getirmek için devamlı güncellemek, araştırıp sorgulayan, evrensel bilgi üreten öğrenciler yetiştirmektir.

Uluslar arası arenada tanınmış olan Matematik bölümleri ile aynı düzeyde eğitim verme çabalarımızı devam ettirmek, çağın gereği olarak hızla ilerleyen teknolojiyi takip edip bölüm çalışanlarının ve öğrencilerinin kullanımına sunmak, günün koşullarına uygun Matematik bilgisini aktif bir şekilde kullanacak matematikçiler yetiştirmektir.

Matematik ABD’nın temel amacı akıl yürütme yoluyla sorgulayan, karşılaşacağı problemlere çözüm arayabilen, düşündüğünü iyi ifade edebilen, özgüvene sahip, alanında iyi yetişmiş çağdaş bireyler yetiştirmektir.

Fiziki Mekân Durumu: Dersler Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi dersliklerinde yapılmaktadır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin kullanabileceği bir bilgisayar laboratuvarı ve bir yüksek lisans dersliği mevcuttur.
Öğrenciler Kampus alanındaki tüm sosyal ve kültürel olanaklardan faydalanmaktadırlar.

The program consists of 8 courses with a minimum of 24 local credits (at least 90 ECTS) which delivered within the graduate program of the department and in related fields, two seminar courses (20 ECTS) and thesis. To pass any course, students must receive at least 70 out of 100. The seminar course and thesis are non-credit and graded on a pass/fail basis. Students must take and pass the doctoral proficiency examination within six months after the course stage. Next, students must register for thesis work and the Lecture on Specialization Field offered by his supervisor every semester following the semester, in which the supervisor is appointed. A student who has completed work on the thesis within the time period, must write a thesis, using the data collected, according to the specifications of the Graduate School Thesis Writing Guide. The thesis must be defended in front of a jury. The duration of the program is four semesters. The maximum period to complete course work in a doctorate program with thesis is 8 semesters with MSc degree and 10 semester without MSc degree. Ph.D. degree is awarded to students who successfully completed all course works without failing grades.

The rules of Graduate Education and Examination Regulations of Adnan Menderes University and the Eligibility Conditions and Rules of the Institute of Natural Sciences are applied.

The Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

The conditions explained in the (4),(5), (8) and (9)rd article of 6th clause in Graduate Education and Examination Regulations of Adnan Menderes University must be fulfilled.

Some courses may be exempted by 15th clause of Graduate Education and Examination Regulations of Adnan Menderes University and the Eligibility Conditions and Rules of the Institute of Natural Sciences . If the course content is consulted and approved by the institute board of directors, then students will be exempted from the courses.
