Cerrahi Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalında Yüksek Lisans Programı dört zorunlu ders, bir seminer dersi ve bir uzmanlık alan dersin ve altı seçmeli dersten oluşmaktadır.

Karar ve öğrenci alım tarihi : 31.08.2010 tarihinde Cerrahi Hastalıkları Hemşireliği Yüksek Lisans Programı açılmıştır. İlk öğrenci alımı 10.08.2011 tarihinde yapılmıştır.

Bizim misyonumuz alanında araştırmacı, lider, yüksek kalitede hasta bakımı sağlayan uzmanlık derecesine sahip hemşireler yetiştirmektir.

Bizim vizyonumuz hemşirelik bilim alanında akademik bir birim olarak ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde kabul edilirliği başarmaktır.

Bu programın amacı; profesyonel hemşirelik bilincine sahip, ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde birey, aile, ve toplumun sağlık sorunlarına ve bakım gereksinimlerine duyarlı, lider, yüksek kalitede hasta bakımı sağlayan cerrahi hastalıkları hemşireliğinde bilim uzmanı yetiştirmektir.

Cerrahi Yoğun Bakım Üniteleri, Cerrahi Branşlara Özgü Klinikler, Ameliyathane, yüksek lisans derslikleri, Kütüphane olanakları vardır.

Doctoral programs are caried in the Department Surgical Nursing under the aegis of the Institute of Health Sciences. Doctoral programs is formal. The curriculum includes theoretical and practical studies. Students have completed their major course work and are engaged in full-time research and results of all the research have published as an article in international indexed journals. Students at the department carry out thesis research under the supervsion of staff members. The students also arrangements seminar proceeding new research areas.

Farabi Excahge Programme is available nationwide and Erasmus Exchange Programme is available internationally. Farabi and Erasmus Exchange Programmes are carried out based on their own requirements

The Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Surgical Nursing awarded to the graduates who have successfully full filled all programme requirements.

Applicants for doctoral programs should hold a Master's degree or bacheler’s degree in nursing area. 1. Criteria: Grade Point Average (bachelor's degree or master degree) Effect %: 20 Explanations: A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3 out of 4,00 is required for Ph.D. Program applications without earning a bachelor's degree A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 75 out of 100 is required for Ph.D. Program applications with thesis Master’s degrees. 2. Criteria: ALES (Academic Staff & Graduate Studies Entrance Exam Effect %: 50 Explanations: minimum score of 55 in ALES (quantitative type or ocounterweight type of ALES score) is required for Ph.D. Program applications with thesis Master’s degrees; OR Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree are required to have at least 80 points from ALES quantitative (received within 3 years is required. 3.Criteria: Assessment of Scientific Competence Effect %: 30 Explanations: Written exam or interview 4.Criteria: Foreign Language (English) Effect %: N/A Explanations: A minimum score of 55 in Foreign Language Exam (YDS) is required for Ph.D. Program or an equivalent score in any other exam whose equivalency is recognized by the Council of Higher Education is required. final average score should have to at least 70% and successful completion of all steps

Students who successfully completed at least onein institutions or other higher education institutions acording to article 9. of Adnan Menderes University Postgraduate Education and Teaching Guidelines may apply for transfer between the higher education institutions.

Those who have successfully completed all courses total 240 ECTS included in the program, have successfully passed the PhD proficiency exam and have successfully made their thesis defense in front of the jury meet the requirements of competence necessary for graduation.
